6 yearsnot a single ad campaign to a website: all traffic goes to Leeloo tunnels
“When we launch something new, the first thing we do is build it in Leeloo. A mini-landing, a funnel, and so on. We don't even consider sending traffic to a website. Over 6 years we've never run a single ad campaign to a website.”Alexey Dudchenko, co-founder of StudyLess

THE BUSINESS

StudyLess is an online English school running since 2019. The format: a free marathon delivered through a chatbot, then a full course with level-based learning and a scholarship model. The school has run more than 270 marathon cohorts of 2,000–5,000 participants each. By the co-founder's estimate, StudyLess is a top 3 to top 5 English school in Ukraine.

BEFORE LEELOO

The school started in 2019 with $500 in capital (Alexey adds: «well, a thousand dollars»). The money went into Google Ads. One customer came in, bought a year of lessons for 40,000 hryvnia and asked for a refund a week later. Marketing and sales skills from e-commerce did not work in education. The school had no tool that paid back its ads and let it grow.

WHAT WAS BUILT

Alexey built the first Leeloo tunnel himself: a paid $5 marathon. $500 went into ads, the marathon sold $700 worth of tickets, and some participants went on to buy the main course. Then the same chatbot funnel was relaunched with a free marathon: instead of roughly 150 people per cohort, 1,500 came in. Since then every new launch starts in Leeloo: a mini-landing, a funnel, a message sequence. For sales events the school runs chatbot quests: chunks of content with answer options, attribute collection and a prize at the end. Part of the Leeloo traffic was redirected to a partner's Instagram account.

THE RESULTS

In 6 years the school has not found a higher-converting tool than the marathon running through a chatbot and a Leeloo tunnel. The ad budget grew from $500 a week to $100,000 a month on paid traffic, then was cut in half, and ROMI improved. Alexey says the school uses about 5% of the platform's capabilities, and that was enough to reach the market's top 5.

  • 500,000+ Ukrainians completed the marathon in 6 years (co-founder's estimate)
  • 270+ marathon cohorts of 2,000–5,000 participants each
  • ~$600,000 in a record sales event run as a gamified chatbot quest (co-founder's estimate)
  • 150 → 1,500 people per cohort after switching the same funnel to a free marathon
  • ~200,000 followers on a partner's Instagram account from Leeloo traffic

QUESTIONS

What results did StudyLess get with Leeloo.ai?
More than 500,000 Ukrainians completed the marathon, 270+ cohorts were run, and a record sales event brought about $600,000 (co-founder's estimates). For all 6 years StudyLess has sent ads only to Leeloo.ai tunnels, never to a website.
What exactly did StudyLess build on Leeloo.ai?
A marathon tunnel through a chatbot: first a paid $5 version, then a free one. A mini-landing, a message sequence, quests for sales events, traffic redirection to Instagram. StudyLess has set everything up on its own since 2019.
Why does StudyLess not send ads to a website?
The co-founder's reasoning: a lead in a chatbot stays reachable, so if an offer did not land at once, you can message them two weeks later. Someone who closed a website is gone. His estimate: up to 45% enter a Leeloo.ai chatbot versus a nominal 5% for a website.

The International University of the Quran teaches women to read the Quran in Arabic. Before Leeloo.ai, integrations between services kept breaking and webinar reminders failed to fire. The school built its own Telegram funnel: the first $200 campaign brought over a thousand leads, the base grew past 10,000, revenue is about $40,000 a month.
